Floodplain Restoration Projects scheduled for Warwick Township in 2024

Warwick Township and the Lititz Run Watershed Alliance have worked together since 1992 to improve our environment by working with landowners on stream improvement & tree planting projects.  This partnership continues today with 3 more floodplain restoration projects scheduled for this year.  The first project will occur in the Spring along the Santo Domingo Creek near Rock Lititz, the second project will occur along Lititz Run in the Fall near Ballstown Road, and the third project is on the Millport Conservancy.  The main purpose of these projects is to provide water quality improvements, stormwater and flood management, and native habitat restoration.  These projects will restore over 6,830 linear feet of stream bank and more than 25 acres of wetlands and riparian buffers.

Did you know... we recently completed another stream restoration project at the Lititz Sewer Plant?  We included this project fact sheet as well.  Warwick Township and its partners are dedicated to the environment and clean water; these projects are just part of the commitment to our community that make Warwick Township a great place to live, work & visit.
