Acting Chairman Bruce Bucher convened the January 7, 2002 meeting of the Board of Supervisors at 7:00 p.m. Present were Supervisors Bruce Bucher, Michael Vigunas, W. Logan Myers, Roger Moyer, and Joseph McSparran. In attendance were Township Manager Daniel Zimmerman, Township Engineer Charles Hess, Eric Christiansen, Renee Christiansen, Attorney David Wagenseller, Nancy Hurst, Glenn Singer, Rick Serrell, Lisa Schouten, Howard Carpenter, John High, R. Horton, Ken Carper, Jr., David R. Jones, John Leibold, Thomas Reinfried, Julie Bushong, Natasha Crnkovich, Sam High, Michael Miller, Tracy Herr, Carol Herr, Lamar Lutz, Melanie Lutz, and Victor Martin. Laura Knowles of Lancaster Newspapers and Richard Reitz of the Lititz Record Express represented the press.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 2002: The acting Chairman opened nominations for Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for 2002. On a motion by Vigunas, seconded by Moyer, the Board unanimously closed the nominations and re-elected Bruce Bucher as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for 2002. The Chairman opened nominations for Vice-Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for 2002. On a motion by Moyer, seconded by Vigunas, the Board unanimously closed the nominations and re-elected Logan Myers as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for 2002.

SUPERVISORS AND APPOINTED STAFF AUTHORIZED TO SIGN DISBURSEMENT/PAYROLL CHECKS: On a motion by Moyer, seconded by Vigunas, the Board unanimously authorized the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Manager/Secretary/Treasurer and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer to sign disbursement checks and payroll checks.

CERTIFY CONVENTION DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE DELEGATE TO THE STATE CONVENTION (4/15/02): On a motion by Moyer, seconded by Vigunas, the Board unanimously appointed Logan Myers as delegate, and Joseph McSparran as alternate delegate to the State Convention.

AUTHORIZATION FOR PAYMENT OF PAYROLLS/BILLS PRIOR TO MEETING APPROVALS-RESOLUTION #01-07-02-01: The Board reviewed the Resolution. On a motion by Myers, seconded by Moyer, the Board unanimously approved Resolution #01-07-02-01 to authorize payment of the Township's payroll and certain invoices, approved by the Township Manager, prior to the Board's approval, subject to review and approval of the Board's signatories.

LIAISON RESPONSIBILITIES: On a motion by McSparran, seconded by Moyer, the Board unanimously approved the following liaison assignments:

Police Department - Michael Vigunas / Roger Moyer
Planning Commission - Joseph McSparran
Zoning Hearing Board - Michael Vigunas
Municipal Authority - Roger Moyer

APPOINTMENTS - RESOLUTION #01-07-02-02: The Chairman reviewed the proposed appointments for 2002. On a motion by Moyer, seconded by Myers, the Board unanimously approved Resolution #01-07-02-02 for the following reappointment/appointments:
