Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company

February, 2011 Calls

 
Incident:   
 

STANDBY – Feb. 5 at 1441 N. Penryn Road for a standby at Penryn Fire Co. but we were recalled while responding..  1 engine, 13 firefighters responded, traveled 6 miles and we were in service 14 minutes.

 

MEDICAL ASSIST – Feb. 8 175 Weidler Lane for an assist to Rothsville Ambulance with a cardiac arrest but fire company services were not needed.  1 engine, ambulance, 7 firefighters, 2 fire police, 2 ambulance personnel responded, traveled .5 mile and we were in service 9 minutes.

 

ASSIST CALL – Feb. 8 at 534 W. Second Avenue for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a dwelling but we were recalled while responding

1 engine, 8 firefighters, 4 fire police responded, traveled 8 miles and we were in service 11 minutes.

 

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – Feb. 8 at Rothsville and Old Rothsville Roads for a 2 vehicle accident with injuries.  1 engine, 8 firefighters, 5 fire police responded, traveled 1 mile and we were in service 29 minutes.  Assisting on the calls was Ephrata ambulance 1-12-1, Lititz Borough Police Dept. and Warwick Township Police Dept.

 

ASSIST CALL – Feb. 14 at 300 W. Lemon Street for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a building but we were recalled while responding.

1 engine, 11 firefighters, 1 fire police, 4 junior firefighters  responded, traveled 4 miles and we were in service 5 minutes.

 

ASSIST CALL – Feb. 15 at 53 Cocalico Creek Road for an assist to West Earl Fire Co. on an outbuilding fire.  1 engine, ambulance, 7 firefighters, 2 fire police, 2 ambulance personnel  responded, traveled 4.5 miles and we were in service 23 minutes.

 

ASSIST CALL – Feb. 15 at 115 Blue Streak Blvd for an assist to Neffsville Fire Co. on a building fire but we were recalled while responding.  1 engine, 10 firefighters, 2 fire police, 1 junior firefighter responded, traveled 6.5 miles and we were in service 10 minutes.

 

STANDBY IN STATION – Feb. 16 at 2071 Main Street standby in Rothsville Fire Station for West Earl Fire Co. while they were on a search detail.  No engine, 10 firefighters, 3 fire police responded traveled no miles and we were in service 54 minutes.

 

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – Feb. 17 at 628 Owl Hill Road for a vehicle accident involving a car into a tree with no injuries.  2 engines, ambulance, 11 firefighters, 3 fire police, 1 junior firefighter, and 3 ambulance personnel responded, traveled 4.5 miles and we were in service 50 minutes.  Assisting on the calls was Warwick Ambulance medic 12 and Warwick Township Police Dept

 

ASSIST CALL – Feb. 17 at 23 N. Broad Street for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a building.  1 engine, 10 firefighters, 3 fire police responded, traveled 7 miles and we were in service 18 minutes.

 

VEHICLE ACCIDENT WITH ENTRAPMENT – Feb. 19 at Rothsville and Warwick Roads for a vehicle on the guard rail and vehicle on its roof with the driver entrapped.  2 engines, ambulance, 12 firefighters, 3 fire police, 1 junior firefighter, and 3 ambulance personnel responded, traveled 2.8 miles and we were in service 1 hour and 7 minutes.  Assisting on the calls was Lititz Fire Co. squad 2-5-1, Manheim Township Ambulance medic 2-13-2, and Lititz and Warwick Township Police Depts.

 

STANDBY – Feb. 22 at 1441 N. Penryn Road for a standby at Penryn Fire Station while they were on a dwelling fire.  1 engine, 8 firefighters responded traveled 15.5 miles and we were in service 3 hours 27 minutes.

 

AUTOMATIC FIRE ALARM – Feb. 22 at 2063 Main Street for automatic fire alarm due to an overheated steamer; no fire but a smoke condition.  1 engine, 10 firefighters, 3 fire police, 1 junior firefighter responded traveled .5 mile and we were in service 12 minutes.

 

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 13 incidents for the month of February.  Responding to those calls were 125 firefighters, 31 fire police, 8 junior firefighters, 10 ambulance personnel, traveled 60.8 miles, and we were in service

8 hours and 29 minutes.

 

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 43 calls, 92 personnel responding to the calls, traveled 574.5 miles and we were in service 43.8 hours.

 

Total calls for the Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company was 56 for the month of February.
