Door Hanger Notification-Vegetation

Vegetation Door HangerDid you receive a door hanger about vegetation growing on your property?

Warwick Townshp has begun using door hangers to notify residents of hazards being caused by vegetation growing on their property.  This replaces the standard letters that were previously mailed to residents and saves postage costs.
Vegetation overgrowth is a safety concern for motorists as well as pedestrians.  Chapter 300 of Warwick Township's Code of Ordinances addresses unsafe conditions caused by trees and shrubs.  Following is a summary of these vegetation guidelines*:

  • Must be at least 18' above the paved road surface.
  • Must be at least 7' above a sidewalk / pedestrian access.
  • May not block posted road signs.
  • May not block the view of traffic at an intersection.
